Ersie Mansion

Ersie is a cultural and design project rooted in Qazvin, Iran, created around the idea of bringing heritage into contemporary life.

The project began in 2015 with the Ersie Eyeglasses Café, located in the historic Sa’d al-Saltaneh Caravanserai, and later expanded with Ersie Mansion in 2024. Together, the two spaces explore the relationship between memory, culture, architecture, and contemporary design.

Rather than simply reproducing traditional forms, Ersie reinterprets Iranian heritage through a modern visual and spatial language. Persian architecture, craftsmanship, mythology, and decorative arts became key sources of inspiration throughout the project.

At the center of its identity is the “Bird of Imagination,” a figure rooted in Persian mythology that was transformed into an abstract contemporary symbol. Its forms and meanings influenced the visual identity, graphic elements, and spatial details of the project.

From typography and color to materials and architectural elements, every part of Ersie creates a dialogue between past and present—preserving the cultural character of its origins while giving it a new expression for today.
